Who Should Attend

This symposium is designed for and limited to clinical fellows and residents, surgical fellows, research fellows, pharmacists, non-doctoral allied health professionals, and other trainees who are be planning a career in transplantation medicine, surgery, or research. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the field of solid organ transplantation from experts in both basic science and clinical care. Attendees will be exposed to the entire spectrum of clinical, research, and translational science and career opportunities in the exciting field of transplantation.

Program

Back by popular demand – dual tracks! You can choose to concentrate in the basic science with the Basic Science track or choose the traditional Fellows Symposium track with a variety of organ-specific sessions.

Program Format

The meeting includes didactic presentations and case discussions in general session and break–out formats, informal discussions with faculty during meals, and recreational and social activities. The goal of this program is to encourage attendees to use the faculty as a resource and engage in broad–ranging discussion. This is the perfect opportunity to garner knowledge from experts, as well as obtain advice and guidance on career decisions.

Location

The symposium will take place at the Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center in Grapevine, Texas. The conference center is centrally located between Dallas and Fort Worth, and is just four miles from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. The Hilton DFW Lakes is certified by the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC).

Please note that alcohol will be served at AST-sponsored receptions. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available. The AST supports responsible drinking. Alcohol will not be served to anyone under the age of 21.
